Dr. Anthony Grandelis is a fellowship-trained OBGYN hospitalist, medical educator, and physician in long-term recovery whose work sits at the intersection of clinical excellence and systems transformation.
As the founder of Recovering Healthcare and author of The Recovery Prescription, Dr. Grandelis brings a unique lens to the crisis facing medicine today — one forged through personal experience with addiction, recovery, and the healing professions.
His framework applies twelve recovery-derived principles — integrity, humility, honesty, gratitude, surrender, safety, hope, authenticity, and more — to the broken systems that govern patient care. The result is not just a critique, but a roadmap for renewal.
